Who is this training for
This is our entry level course to Fibre Networks. The course is suitable for clients who do not need detailed technical knowledge of Fibre Networks. It would be suitable for Office Based or Administrative roles or as an introductory gateway to Fibre for Youth Development training programmes.
Course Outline
The course material covers the evolution of the Telecoms Network from copper to fibre and the corresponding analogue to digital revolution. The course looks at the network components and materials used in the building a Fibre Network and what a Fibre Network looks like. The course also includes a module on PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) and fibre connections to customer premises.
It is of a modular design and can be tailored to meet the individual needs/requirements of clients/companies
Course Objectives
The course is aimed at giving those clients new to the Telecoms / Fibre world an overview of Fibre Networks and Fibre Broadband. The course material is designed to be accessible to people with little or no technical background. On completion of the course, candidates will be familiar with the components that make up a Fibre Network and have an understanding of the “jargon”/terminology used.
This course will be held initially face-to-face at clients preferred locations or ITC office Belfast with the option available via Teams / Zoom
